60 labour experts, scholars, governmental officials from the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), and business representatives attended the jointed workshop between HSF and ULSA. This one-day event intends to bring together the expertise of academics, policymakers, and business representatives to identify potential solutions in facilitating training capabilities of workers in the industry 4.0.

Speakers and participants exchanged and discussed various issues concerning training for Vietnamese workers at the workshop. Dr. Nguyen Chi Truong, Director General, Department of Skills Development, MoLISA, presented an in-depth analysis of the situation of Vietnamese workers and their level of response to technological changes in the workplace. Dr. Truong also proposed policy recommendations in his discussion that focus on support policies to assist young workers in approaching training opportunities. Mr. Bui Quoc Anh, ILSSA, MoLISA, went on to say that businesses will need to take proactive steps to encourage their employees to acquire the skills required for technological changes. Following the two speakers, researchers from ULSA and the Banking Academy advocated for improved collaboration between government agencies and businesses in order to secure workers' employment in the Industry 4.0.
