Signing the Annual Support Agreement between HSF and the MoFA of Vietnam

On the 4th of June, Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam (HSF) and the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation (DMEC) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed the Annual Agreement for the calendar year 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic situation in Hanoi, the signing ceremony took place virtually.

HSF

During the virtual meeting on the 4th of June, Mr Michael Siegner, Resident Representative of HSF and Mr Pham Thanh Nam, Deputy Director General of the DMEC reviewed successful joint project activities in 2020, confirmed again the cooperation activities for 2021 on which both parties have mutually agreed, and signed the Annual Support Agreement for the calendar year 2021.

Since the 1990s, HSF and the DMEC have been cooperating effectively in many projects aimed at contributing to Vietnam’s comprehensive and intensified international and regional economic integration towards sustainable development. In 2021, HSF and the DMEC will continue working closely together on activities relevant for Vietnam’s sustainable socio-economic development in a new era of globalisation. This year, the cooperation particularly focuses on supporting Viet Nam's initiatives in the context of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) to foster inter-regional cooperation and sustainable post-pandemic recovery.
