The first Regional Workshop took place in Hanoi on 3rd December. The workshop was chaired by Mr Le Viet Anh – Director General of the DSENRE of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPI) with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries, localities, enterprise associations, and international and local organisations. The workshop provided the latest information on the implementation of SDGs in Vietnam and in Asia-Pacific region, and enabled representatives of ministries and provinces in Northern and North-Central Vietnam to explain their difficulties in implementing the SDGs. Particularly, the participants also discussed the implementation of the SDGs in agriculture sector, as well as the participation of civil society organisations and the role of circular economy in the pursuance of the SDGs in Vietnam.

Similar to the first one held in Hanoi on 3rd December, the second Regional Workshop used electronic documents instead of paper ones as an extra small contribution to the implementation of SDGs.
