From 28th May to 3rd June 2017 another high-ranking delegation of the Royal Thai Police (RTP) visited the training center of the Bavarian Standby Police in Eichstätt. There the officials of the RTP shared and discussed theoretical as well as practical concepts and strategies for a further development of a human rights oriented and with regards to the Thai society more community integrated policing.

As a follow up activity from 19th – 23rd June 2017 the director of the training center in Eichstätt, Pol. Director Hubert Müller together with his colleague Pol. Inspector Andreas Dietl visited the RTP Training Centers in Nakhon Pathom (Royal Thai Police Cadet Academy) and in Khao Yai (Nong Sarai Training Center) providing more theoretical knowledge on the principle of Community Policing on the one hand, on the other hand they monitored and checked these elements within the practical Thai Police Training, which had been already adopted from the Bavarian Police in the framework of the above mentioned community policing related training issues.

Mr. Müller honored the RTP reform processes positively as one could see the the RTP has already developed a series of sustained training elements, which will definitely contribute to a more reliable and transparent policing in the future and which had been repeatedly demanded by the Thai community as well.

The cooperation between the RTP, the Bavarian Police and the Hanns Seidel Foundation started in 2014.
