Hanns Seidel Foundation organized a delegation visit for Members of the Thai Parliament to Bavaria, Germany, during 1-9 October 2023.

As part of our goals to support Thailand’s endeavors to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 16 - peace, justice and strong institution) by promoting participation in public affairs by the people, Hanns Seidel Foundation organized a delegation visit for Members of the Thai Parliament to Bavaria, Germany, during 1-9 October 2023.

The main goal of this delegation visit is to introduce the German election system and the decentralized structure of the German State Administration to the Thai MPs through the observation of the election of the Bavarian House of Representatives as well as the local election.

The Thai MPs had a chance to meet and exchange with several electoral candidates and the authorities in charge of the organization of the elections. They also had the opportunity to observe the election campaign, vote casting at polling stations and ballots counting process.
