Celebrating Democracy and the Thai Constitution on International Human Rights Day

On the occasion of National Constitution Day and International Human Rights Day, 10 December 2023, the Hanns Seidel Foundation Thailand office, in collaboration with the Parliament of Thailand and various Civil Society Organisations, celebrated democracy and the Thai Constitution.

At the event, Hanns Seidel Foundation introduced the Foundation and our works to the public. We also used this opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of public participation. We asked the public the question “whether they agree that Thai citizens should be allowed to petition to introduce a motion to the Parliament” to which everyone who took part in the poll said they agreed.

We would like to express our gratitude toward the President of the Parliament – Mr. Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, the First Vice President of the Parliament – Mr. Padipat Suntiphada, Members of the Parliament, and everyone who stopped by our booth and participated in our activities.
