Vietnam is undergoing a transition to new economic models that promote green growth. The central and local governments are working on socio-economic plans to 2030, with a vision for 2050. However, integrating all sectors holistically under the new Planning Law is immensely challenging. Circular economy (CE) has emerged as a potential model to help provinces achieve sustainable growth in the long run. In this paper, we present some CE opportunities that can be integrated into provincial masterplans. These include opportunities in traditional sectors such as agriculture, transportation, and industry, as well as in more dynamic sectors such as energy, tourism, and digital technology.
