The general discussion about the objectives, roles and responsibilities of the TTDWG was followed by an introduction to the ToRs. ToRs include information about function, purpose and tasks of the subgroups as well as specification about their meeting times, reporting structure and outputs. They support the accomplishment of common goals as expectations and accountabilities become clear. TTDWG has already formed five subgroups: Local Product Development, Tourism Sights, Culture, Environment and Media & Communication.
In a group work the participants debated responsibilities and processes of the different subgroups plus the expectations they have towards them.
Roles and responsibilities of the TTDWG now are clearly allocated and an action plan was drafted to specify further steps. This action plan most importantly includes the delivery of a draft ToR of every subgroup. It can be stated that the group members have a good understanding about what they want to achieve, they have clear goals and gained knowledge which can help to improve Thandaung Gyi as a tourism destination.
