45-Day Training in Taunggyi, Shan-State
Supporting Civic & Peace Education and Leadership Training by Kyun Ta-Htaung Myae Foundation

Kyun Ta Htaung Myae Foundation conducted a 45-day training on Civic & Peace Education and Leadership in Taunggyi, Shan State. The training started from 1st October 2018 and brought together 40 participants from different States and Regions around the country.

The topics in the training included Civic Education, Cross Culture, Constitution, Federalism, Good Governance, Leadership and Peace Education. Part of the training programme, the Hanns Seidel Foundation supports a module on Federalism for three days. Aung Soe Min, programme manager of HSF was leading the training course on Basic Principles of Federalism, Institutions in Federal States, Division of Power and Introduction to Fiscal Federalism.

On the last day of the module, the participants took part in a role play in which they represented an imaginary state to form a federation.

The participants actively took part in the discussions. We would like to thank the organizers of Kyun Ta-Htaung Myae Foundation who invited us to be part of the training and the participants for their active participation.
