Summer School on Federalism, Conflict Resolution and Good Governance

The Summer School on Federalism, Conflict Resolution and Good Governance started on August 10th at Canterbury Christ Church University in the United Kingdom. Twenty-two students from all over the world got the chance to take part in it, including four Myanmar participants supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation Myanmar.

Among various lectures were for example: Dr. Soeren Keil discussing the topic of federalism with each participant sharing information on their countries’ political system; Dr. Paul Anderson with a session on Constitutional Design in (Deeply) Divided Societies; Dr. Johanna Schnabel presenting on “Federalism and Good Governance” and Dr. Nicolas Schmitt giving an insight on “Comparing Federal Political Systems”
