Students of Kehl University visit HSF Philippine Office

Two German college students of the Kehl University, namely, Katharina Wrobel and Lea Siedler, visited the Philippine Office of the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) on March 21, 2017 in Makati City. They are in the country for a 3-month internship program on Public Administration/ Management Program with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). They were joined in the visit by Mr. Enrico Caja, DAP’s Partnerships Manager.

The program which is designed to maximize the students’ exposure in the country also aims to strengthen relations between the Philippines and Germany. The students’ internship activities include immersion, volunteer assignment, DAP sessions, weekly feedback and field trips.

HSF’s Program Coordinator/Deputy Head and Program Officer shared the Foundation’s work in the country, its contribution to the Philippine socio-economic development, its priority thrusts as well as past and present development programs and projects especially for the current project cycle 2017-2019.

Information and education materials such as HSF annual report and profile/brochure including project-related training handbook/manual and other relevant publications were shared with the students for further reading and as references in their studies.

The students welcomed the opportunity to be introduced to the Foundation’s work outside Germany, and expressed their gratitude for the cordial and interesting exchange during the visit.
