From 6th to 8th June, various stakeholders involved in Community Tourism Development in Myanmar are coming together in Kalaw to discuss the interface of communities and tourism in Myanmar.

There will be space to critically and constructively discuss issues such as responsibilities and duties of regions and states in tourism management, community led destination planning, responsible investment, product development and waste management and a lot more.

As the hosting community Kalaw is an emerging tourism destination itself, already popular among both domestic and international tourists, the conference participants are having the chance to first-hand experience local tourism initiatives on the ground.
