Four quarterly Parliamentary Information Briefs 2020

The publications aimed at supplying Vietnamese parliamentarians and all Committees of the National Assembly with brief but comprehensive information on the whole political and social spectrum and on the actual socio-economic situation as well as key legislative initiatives in each quarter. The Parliamentary Information Briefs will provide Vietnamese parliamentarians with support in formulating draft legislation in preparation for the 9th and the 10th Session of the National Assembly.
The first Parliamentary Information Brief published in March focuses on healthcare in Vietnam and the revision of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment. The second one published in June concerns environmental issues and policy responses in Vietnam and other countries, as well as with the revision of the Law on Environmental Protection. The third one published in September discusses the topic road safety in Vietnam, the Draft Law on Ensuring Road Traffic Order and Safety, and the revision of the Law on Road Traffic. Finally, the fourth one published in October highlights several socio-economic issues in Vietnam in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
