HSF’s Project Manager Miss Henriette Kuehnl explained the benefits of roleplays as an educational programme for the Hluttaws and how the programme is integrated within the visitor service. The aim of the parliamentary roleplay is to simulate the proceedings and debates of the Hluttaws to better understand the work of members of parliament and to stimulate the debating skills of participants.

The presentation included a parliamentary roleplay performed by Hluttaw staff. The concept for the roleplay-simulation was elaborated with support from the German Bundesrat and an expert from Polyspektiv a consultancy focusing on political education. By the end of the year, the parliamentary roleplay will be part of the visitor service and interested visitor groups can take part in it.
