The Winter School on Federalism and Governance 2018 was successfully concluded on Friday, 16th February. In the last week, we have learned some case studies on Asia, the European Union, Russia and Ukraine from the respective experts.

Before the closing, some of the participants had presented their studies and/or some facts about their country regarding federalism in the making. This year, there are more than 10 participants from Asia, residing in different countries. Each participant from each country in Asia made a presentation.

On Friday morning, the Head of Faculty of Political Science in the University of Innsbruck and the Head of Institute, Institute for Comparative Federalism at EURAC Research handed over the certificates to the participants.

In the afternoon, a cultural tour was organized for the participants. We visited Prösels Castle near Bolzano/Bozen, where we were able to breath in the romance of the past. Moreover, we could imagine the historical, economical background of that region.

During the two-week programme we had the opportunity to network with the participants and the international experts, and had very fruitful discussions and exchanges of ideas.
