Cooperation with ISPONRE MONRE of Vietnam
MoU Signing Ceremony between HSF and Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment

On 16th February, Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam (HSF) and the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPONRE) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further expand our partnership advocating for environmental protection and sustainable development in Vietnam.

HSF

Following the successful cooperation over the last decade, HSF and ISPONRE have decided on broadening the partnership in the period 2023 - 2025. Mr Michael Siegner – Resident Representative of HSF Vietnam and Assoc Prof Dr Nguyen Dinh Tho – Director General of the ONA signed the MoU on 16th February to strengthen the cooperation in various areas of work.

Under this 3-year MoU, the two parties agree on holding workshops, dialogues, conferences and trainings, policy consultations and dialogues, conducting research and publication, and organising delegation visits in order to address issues related to efficient use of natural resources in Viet Nam, as well as to raise awareness and strengthen the capacity of Viet Nam for environmental enforcement and sustainable development. Through this cooperation, HSF also seeks to contribute to improving the legal framework and enhancing capacity of the government, local authorities and relevant stakeholders on environment protection, natural resource management and responding to climate change in Vietnam.
