MoU Signing Ceremony between HSF and Institute of Labour and Social Affairs

Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam (HSF) and the Institute of Labour and Social Affairs (ILSSA) under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLISA) of Vietnam signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the period 2023 - 2025 to expand our partnership advocating for enhancing social protection and sustainable development in Vietnam.

On May 17, Mr Michael Siegner – Resident Representative of HSF Vietnam and Dr Bui Ton Hien – Director General of ILSSA signed an MoU to expand our long-standing partnership which has been nurtured continuously since 2011. Under this 3-year MoU, the two parties will cooperate to strengthen research capacity and improve performance of ILSSA to provide inputs to developing strategies and policies related to advancing social justice and labour market, promoting sustainable development in the context of climate change, developing renewable energy, and upholding Vietnam’s international commitments. Through this cooperation, HSF also seeks to contribute to improving the legal framework and enhancing capacity of the government authorities and think-tanks for a sustainable social and economic development in Vietnam.
