Within the framework of the Regional ASEAN Project on Sustainable Consumption and Production, HSF has been cooperating with DoP/MPI of Lao PDR since 2017 to implement various capacity building and international exchange activities on the topic of the Sustainable Development Agenda with a strong focus on green growth and the transition towards circular economy in Lao PDR. Earlier this year, the two parties jointly organised a 3-day consultation workshop in Luang Prabang to raise awareness and build capacity among government leaders and officials in Lao PDR, as well as to encourage circular economy practices especially as a tool to build back better in post-COVID recovery in this country. Both parties look forward to strengthening this fruitful collaboration in the future.
