On 22 March 2022, Hanns Seidel Foundation, together with ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights - APHR, held a side event at the Inter-Parliamentary Union 144th Assembly in Bali, Indonesia, to raise awareness among members of parliaments from around the world and urge them to take actions in support of many of their Myanmar counterparts who are facing arbitrary arrests, detentions, prosecutions and imprisonments for being elected as representatives.

MPs joining the event had the chance to discuss with members of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw - CRPH about the situation of Myanmar MPs as well as the chance to exchange among themselves on the possible action to buttress democracy in Myanmar.
