The internship is part of the co-operation between Hanns Seidel Foundation Indonesia, the Bavarian Police and the Indonesian National Police. The 3rd batch of Indonesian students was in Munich from 2-9 July 2017. A total of nine master students and two supervisors, including the director of STIK-PTIK, Police Inspector General Sigid Trihardjanto, were part of the delegation.

The internship program aims at knowledge transfer regarding service-oriented policing and professional management of police stations. The participants also received an overview on the training and education of police officers in the Bavarian police school and extended their knowledge on the curriculum of the Bavarian police academy.

 Furthermore, the participants had the opportunity to experience the daily work routine of Bavarian police officers. The practical training included activities such as patrolling, special search, police guard service (station), and the work of community and youth police officers.

The knowledge gained during the internship will be disseminated to other police students and police officers in Indonesia. Furthermore, Bavarian police experts will follow-up and deepen the cooperation with Indonesian counterparts during a workshop in Indonesia, which is to be held in January 2018.
