The workshop successfully managed to bring together stakeholders from the civil society, the government and representatives of different provinces. This led to a fruitful dialogue between the different parties involved on the newly presented Action Plan. The workshop addressed different aspects of the Agenda 2030 such as access to funding and resources. Furthermore, difficulties such as harmonization of efforts or funding problems were voiced and approaches and solutions were put forward by the attendants.
“The dialogue on development issues such as sustainability and environment protection are important”, Dr. Axel Neubert, HSFs Vietnam Regional Representative, points out. “Losses in biodiversity, increasing health risks, energy security issues and change are among the most serious challenges we are facing.”
The HSF is glad that it could manage to facilitate a dialogue between the different parties involved and that way play a positive role in the implementation of a sustainable development agenda. Moreover, the workshop strengthened the longstanding working relationship between the HSF and ISPONRE and further contributed to the mutual efforts to implement the SDGs.
