Two weeks after the Union Peace Conference – 21st Century Panglong (second meeting), the Political Parties of Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC) met at the Hotel AKIMOMI, in Pyin Oo Lwin to review the Political Frameworks for the Peace Process. The Workshop was held for 2 days from the 15.06 to 16.06.2017 and the HSF sent one of its program managers, U Aung Soe Min as assistant.

HSF supports UPDJC – Political Parties’ Workshop on Reviewing the Political Frameworks Peace Process

The workshop was opened by U Thu Wai, Vice Chair of the UPDJC. The workshop included the UPDJC’s Working Committee Members of the Political Parties and Leaders of 23 Political Parties, which are currently in parliament and were invited to the previous Union Peace Conference (UPC).

During the workshop, the participants discussed and reviewed the current Framework for the Political Dialogues, as well as assessing the future directions of a Framework and how to better coordinate among the Political Parties and other stakeholders.

U Aung Soe Min, program manager of HSF also presented on a survey report on Peace and Federalism, which was carried out during a Seminar in Mon State in April.
