Economic and Social challenges in time of Globalization
Vietnam has strived towards achieving a higher quality of life, which has been measured mainly in economic terms. With the dilemma of rash development, the subject of sustainability is of great concern. Globalization and the current labor market are increasingly affecting daily life as automation will replace manual labor.
Forum in Ho Chi Minh City
Therefore, HSF hosted a forum in cooperation with the National Assembly of Vietnam to analyze and assess major socio-economic issues in Vietnam 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City over two days on 18th and 19th of September. The forum was attended by approximately 100 participants including many national experts of relevant ministries and public agencies.
A variety of presentations gave an insight in the present situation of Vietnam’s higher education, social situation and the labor market. Expert lectures about the technology revolution 4.0 and the providing chances and challenges for developing countries and the impact on the Vietnamese society and policy implication where hold. Due to the expert lectures an interesting and fruitful discussion took place.
In the end the forum, managed to foster various highly productive discussions and a successful exchange of ideas for the future.
