Federalism Barometer - Workshop and Research Project on Myanmar Peace Process in Yangon

The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Myanmar, in collaboration with Myanmar Institute for Democracy (MID) organized a workshop under the name “Federalism Barometer: Workshop and Research Project on Myanmar Peace Process” at Inya Lake Hotel, Yangon on the 27th of August 2017.

All participants who joined the event, are involved in the peace process and work towards a peaceful transition of Myanmar. In the discussion, two secretariat members of the Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC) and a supportive member of Peace Commission shared the updates on the Myanmar peace process.

The discussions focused on how to cooperate in supporting the peace process, sharing knowledge to public, as well as to develop a research structure on Federalism and Peace.

This is the first initiative to launch a research project - more discussions and meetings will follow in coming months.
