In his welcome remarks by Mr. Achim Munz, Resident Representative of HSF Myanmar mentioned the importance of drafting the different policies for the federal reform process through this kind of discussions.

The dialogue comprises two parts – the input section and discussion. The first presentation, made by Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun, is mainly focused on the theory of multi-level governance in the perspective of federalism. Daw Khin Ma Ma Myo made a presentation on the relation betwen gender and multi-level governance, as well as the challenges.

In the dialogue section, the participants actively discussed the advantages and challenges of implementing the multi-level government in a future federal state based on the Myanmar context. The discussion was fruitful and we hope to continue the dialogue on other topics with the same participants in the coming months.
