Myanmar Delegation in Berlin and Potsdam
Delegation Diary: Bundesrat and Landtag Brandenburg

From 18.03. to 24.03. the Hanns Seidel Foundation - Myanmar in coordination with the Bundestag and Bundesrat supported a Hluttaw Delegation to Germany. The delegation was financed through funding of German Foreign Affairs.

Friday 23.03.

After a welcome and an introduction by Peter Wilke, Press and Communication, the delegation had an opportunity to observe a plenary session of the Bundesrat. This was the 966. Session of the Bundesrat and the current president of the Bundesrat, Mr Michael Müller, who is also the Mayor of Berlin, made a brief note on the delegation in his opening remarks of the session.

The delegation then departed to Potsdam to visit the Landtag of Brandenburg. Here they were welcomed by Mr Dieter Dombrowski who is the Vice-President of the Brandenburg Landtag.

The Brandenburg Landtag has a political education department and Mrs Anja Meitner provided us an introduction and a presentation on the Landtag's political education activities and products. The visit also included a guided tour and an explanation of the management of the visitor service.
