Bayerische EliteAkademie visits Vietnam

Hanoi, 2 – 6 October 2017 ---- 32 fellowship students of the “Bayerische EliteAkademie” just visited Hanoi as part of their study trip to Asia. As chairman, Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Küpper stated “During our annual trip called the “Auslandsakademie”, students get an insight in Vietnam’s history, its culture as well as its emerging economy.”

Bayerische EliteAkademie visits German Embassy

The Hanns Seidel Foundation supported the Auslandsakademie 2017 by organizing visits to several German companies based in and around Hanoi. B.Braun, VanLaack, Messer Gase as well as the German Chamber of Commerce and the Goethe-Institut opened their doors to inform about their work in Vietnam. According to Roman Kübler, CEO B.Braun: “working in Vietnam with its outstanding growth rates poses a totally different situation to business managers compared to Germany with lots of opportunities, but also challenges.”

On the occasion of the German Unity Day Ambassador Christian Berger invited representatives of the Auslandsakademie to the reception at his residence. On the following day, the complete group had the chance to discuss current political affairs with the diplomatic staff at the German Embassy.

The Bayerische EliteAkademie supports outstanding and committed Bavarian students for a period of three years in developing their leadership qualities. Next to extracurricular activities like projects within interdisciplinary teams and personal coaching, participants get the chance to further their intercultural competencies during study trips.
