The workshop provided the opportunity for high-ranking civil servants, private sector representatives as well as civil society organisations to learn about the three ASEAN Communities and the implications emerging from Myanmar’s continuing political, economic and social integration into ASEAN.

Presentations were structured around the ASEAN Economic Community, the ASEAN Political-Security Community and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community. After each lecture the different stakeholders had the opportunity to enter into a dialogue with each other to discuss the status quo of Myanmar’s integration and possible future implications of further integration.
