Since 2015, the Hanns Seidel Foundation Indonesia supports an internship programme for police master students of STIK-PTIK in Bavaria. As a follow up, the students conduct a workshop, were the gained knowledge is discussed with police experts from Bavaria. This year’s workshop was held in Kuta/Bali from 28 to 30 January 2019. Additionally, also police officers from all resort police offices in Bali province took part in the workshop.
The trained students presented to the other participants on the following topics: “Education and Training of Police”, “Modern Police Leadership”, “Police Operations”, and “Management of Police Stations”. Two senior Bavarian police officers were also present and supported the efforts of the students.
The workshop also included an excursion to the Bali provincial police office (POLDA), were the Indonesian and Bavarian officers visited the command centre, traffic management centre and drug and narcotic division. The Deputy chief of POLDA Bali welcomed the delegation, and briefed them on the challenging work of the Bali police.
