21st Century Panglong 3rd Session

On the 11th of July, the Union Peace Conference – 21st Century Panglong 3rd Session, commenced at the Myanmar International Convention Centre II in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) welcomes the conference and hopes are high that it would be another step in the political reform process for Myanmar.

In the build up to the Union Peace Conference, the Hanns Seidel Foundation financially supported a preparation meeting of the members of the 23 participating political parties.

The UPDJC (The Union Peace Dialogue Joint Committee) organised this one-day meeting on the 10th of July in Nay Pyi Taw. The aim of the meeting was to share the update on the current peace process to the participants and to prepare the discussion points for the Conference.
