The meeting was the first one after the election of a new TTDWG committee. The handover from the old to the new committee went well thanks to the great cooperation of all the active new and old members.

The meeting also provided room for an exchange about learnings from the study trip to Inle Lake last month. Participants who took part in the study trip shared their newly acquired knowledge with the rest of the group. The trip inspired many and led to a discussion on how to develop new tourism products to improve tourists’ experiences.

Thanks to all the very active members of the TTDWG, and to the participants from the Karen National Union (KNU) and the General Administration Department (GAD) for their great contributions. We would also like to thank our partner MRTI - Myanmar Responsible Tourism Institute for their support.
