Researching Lawmakers’ Understanding of Federal and Democratic Principles

The Institute for Strategy and Policy- Myanmar (ISP) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) are collaborating on a needs assessment on lawmakers’ understanding on federal and democratic principles.

As part of the research project, we jointly organised workshops in Sagaing and Magway Regional Parliament respectively on 25th and 26th September.

In both workshops, more than 40 members of each Regional Parliament joined the event. The focus of the workshop was to discuss the challenges of regional parliaments with regard to decentralization and federal reform processes.
