During the introductory session, the 20 participants from different ministries and departments expressed their keen interests in issues related to Federalism, Decentralization and Democracy. They wanted to learn about successful Federal Systems and about how to use Federalism as a key tool to contribute to the development of a country.
Dr. Rekha Oleschak Pillai from the Institute for Federalism, University of Fribourg and Paul Anderson from Canterbury Christ Church University were leading the course. We were all looking forward to another five days of informative lectures, presentations and intense discussions, focusing on the way forward for Federalism in Myanmar.
