HSF once again supported the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights with the goal to increase the knowledge of the legal drafters regarding their research skills. 30 participants from the regional office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in the West Java Province and representatives of the local government participated in the Workshop. The workshop was organized by skilled exerts with an academic university background. The participants were guided by the experts through an intensive programme, including lessons on writing scientific articles and on legal writing methods, how to use e-journals as a reference, and how to apply for publication in the Ministry’s E-Journal (Jurnal Hukum).
The workshop was helpful for the local legal drafters and will increase their capacity to work in accordance with applicable standards of legal writing.
The Ministry highlighted that, besides performing their legal drafting tasks, the officers must also be able to produce high-quality academic papers, which will then be published in various journals of the Ministry.
