BIPA at a glance

As a follow-up to the internship program for Indonesian police students at a Bavarian police office, the alumni network BIPA (Bavarian-Indonesian Police Alumni) has been established in 2016.  BIPA serves as a forum to exchange ideas and experiences amongst the alumni. The network is supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation Indonesia office.

Alumni serve as an agent of change

After the internship program in Germany, the trained students graduate from the master program at the Indonesian police university and are posted at police stations throughout Indonesia. More than 60% of the BIPA alumni are now heading a police station, a unit and sub-unit, where they apply the philosophy of service-oriented policing.
