Vietnam ahead of the National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam with important decisions on the agenda
Walking through the streets of Hanoi at this time of the year, it is always a somewhat mystical atmosphere. Preparations for the Lunar New Year, that normally take place between the end of January and February are in full swing. Wherever you look you can see cherry or kumquat trees being carried around on the backs of the motorbikes and the pagodas are more crowded than usual. However, there is something more in the air within the capital of Vietnam: Propaganda posters that praise the party are all over town, Vietnam flags adorn important political buildings. The reasoning behind the political sense of the city stands with the upcoming National Congress that is going to take place from the 25th of January until the 2nd of February.
