In celebration of the International Human Rights Week, the project, “Community-based Dialogue Sessions on Human Rights Promotion and Protection between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police, and Civil Society Organizations and Local Communities,” launched the CBD Project Video last December 15, 2021 during the CBD National Conference organized by the Project Steering Committee (PSC).

Spearheaded by the Project Steering Committee (PSC) led by the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) and the Alternative Law Groups (ALG), a CBD National Conference was held last December 15, 2021 which gathered over 70 participants online from various regions of the country. The activity was the culmination of the island-wide conferences conducted for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao organized by the CHR.

In line with continuing efforts to sustain the Community-based Dialogue (CBD) mechanism at the provincial, municipal and barangay levels, the CBD core group in Iloilo province led by the Commission on Human Rights Regional Office VI (CHR-VI) and PROCESS Foundation Panay in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation/Germany (HSF) held a one-day CBD on December 10, 2021 in Iloilo City.

Linking up in the time of a pandemic, former Hanns Seidel Foundation scholars from the Philippines convene online for the Hannsiklub’s Fourth Quarter General Membership Meeting to keep abreast of the Foundation’s programs, gain an overview of the current state of education in the Philippines and stay informed about fellow members.
