Effective parliamentary institutions play a crucial role in promoting good governance, evidence-based legislation and sustainable socio-economic development. Building on a successful partnership that began in 2017, the new agreement provides the framework for continued cooperation in strengthening institutional capacities and supporting the modernisation of parliamentary administration in Vietnam.
Under the new three-year cooperation programme, HSF Vietnam and the Office of the National Assembly will work together to strengthen the capacities of Members of the National Assembly, officials of the National Assembly Office, provincial National Assembly delegations and People's Councils. Planned activities include policy dialogue, expert exchanges, capacity-building programmes and the sharing of international experiences to support effective parliamentary work and institutional development.
The agreement also reflects the shared commitment of both partners to strengthening parliamentary governance and promoting international cooperation. By combining Vietnamese reform priorities with international expertise, the partnership contributes to building effective, transparent and future-oriented parliamentary institutions.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks another important milestone in the long-standing cooperation between HSF Vietnam and the Office of the National Assembly. Both partners look forward to continuing their joint efforts to strengthen parliamentary institutions and contribute to Vietnam's sustainable socio-economic development over the coming years.
