Once the SDGs are approved by the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015, Vietnam, with all other UN Member States, will need to initiate a process to integrate the SDGs with national priorities, identify and pursue necessary policy changes, and ensure the required institutional framework is in place to implement and monitor the goals.
