The Law on Water Resources No. 28/2023/QH15 (2023), passed on November 27, 2023, and took effect on July 1, 2024. This law represents a major step forward in water resource governance by institutionalizing the Party's and State's policies on water security, sector socialization, water resource economics, and protection against water-related hazards. This publication is published by ISPONRE with support from HSF with aim to disseminate the law's key updates, raise legal awareness, and strengthen Vietnam's legal framework. This effort aligns with the government's vision for synchronized and comprehensive water resource management.
