During the Cold War, economic systems were largely divided between centrally planned and market-based models. Since the late 20th century, many countries have transitioned toward market-oriented systems, often adapting them to their specific institutional and political contexts. This also applies to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which has undergone a profound transformation from a centrally planned economy to a market-oriented system.
