Activities conducted provide the fora for women police officers to share their respective police organizations’ approaches to strengthen gender mainstreaming and promote gender balance, and how these led to effective community-oriented policing.  Subsequent discussions lead towards the adoption of common strategies, taking into account specific historical, cultural, social and religious considerations, among others.  The continuous information-sharing and exchange among participants which are expected to provide directions for the formulation of strategies to promote the mobility, career growth, and opportunities for women police officers including networking among women law enforcement officers and related parties. Conferences are held locally and as part of HSF’s regional dialogue program with conferences in Bangkok, Hanoi and Manila attended by delegates from Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
