From December 10 to 13, 2024, the Hanns Seidel Foundation Vietnam (HSF) led a delegation of 10 representatives from circular start-ups from Asia and North Africa for a study trip to Singapore to network with mind-liked entrepreneurs, sustainable experts and potential investors there. As a follow-up activity to HSF’s delegation to ASEAN Circular Economy Forum (ACEF) 2024 and related events in Bangkok in October this year, this initiative is also part of the TH!NK GLOBAL Sustainability Network’s activities under HSF’s Global Project on Mitigation and Adaptation to Climate Change (GMACC).

Building on the success of the Vietnam Circular Economy Forums in 2022 and 2023, the 3rd Circular Economy Forum took place on December 10, 2024, in Hanoi. Chaired by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and co-organized by the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment, Hanns Seidel Foundation, and other partners. This year, the forum adopted the theme "Promoting the Circular Economy in Vietnam – From Planning to Action”. The event featured a plenary forum and three thematic workshops, bringing together representatives from various Ministries, NGOs, international organizations, universities, research institutes, enterprises, and leading circular economy experts.

HSF Vietnam convened a half-day multistakeholder policy dialogue with the Department of Economic-Civil Legislation of the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to review laws and regulations on legal representation. The multi-stakeholders dialogue facilitates not only a regulatory discussion among Vietnamese legal experts and policymakers but also provides international experiences for the ongoing legislative process.

From December 2 to 4, 2024, the Hanns Seidel Foundation, in cooperation with the Department of Provincial Administration, launched a workshop to combat crimes against children and provide related assistance for victims of these crimes.

Hanns Seidel Foundation Thailand, in collaboration with the School of Political and Social Science, University of Phayao, successfully conducted the 10th Youth Camp. The Camp was geared toward "Transforming Democracy" from November 29 to December 1, 2024, at Horizon Village and Resort Hotel and Taweechon Botanical Garden in Chiang Mai.
