The Hanns Seidel Foundation in Munich hosted a panel discussion titled “Scam-States and Crime Factories: Fraud Centers on an Industrial Scale in Southeast Asia” as a side event of the 2026 Munich Security Conference. The panel featured high-level Thai representatives, including H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Police General Thatchai Pitaneelaboot, Deputy Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police. Both representatives shared their perspectives and delivered keynotes on the threats and challenges posed by regional scamming, highlighting its significant impact on the economy and public safety.
