Study Tour on Bavarian Citizen-Oriented Police Training: A Successful Collaboration

The 2nd Bavarian Special Operations and Training Police (2nd BBP) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) were honored to extend an invitation to the Royal Police Cadet Academy (RPCA) for a study tour on Bavarian Citizen-Oriented Police Training. This event was scheduled in Eichstätt from June 2 to June 8.

During this intensive five-day seminar, participants from the 2nd BBP and five representatives from the RPCA engaged in a comprehensive exchange of knowledge and practices related to modular police training. The focus was on developing case-based scenarios pertinent to daily police operations, all while emphasizing adherence to human rights standards.

Therein the seminar provided an in-depth look at how modular training modules are designed and implemented, including the creation and application of case-based scenarios that reflect real-world policing challenges. Moreover, insights were shared on effective communication strategies, conflict resolution techniques, and methods for managing stress in high-pressure situations. The seminar concluded with the 2nd BBP presenting their final practical oral exam, showcasing their acquired skills and knowledge to their peers.

The HSF expresses its sincere gratitude to the 2nd Bavarian Special Operations and Training Police for their preparation and organization of this event. Additionally, we extend our thanks to the Royal Police Cadet Academy for their active participation and engagement throughout the seminar.
