Mediation Academy (I) Exploring the Basics: Concepts, Methods, and Techniques

As part of our goal to promote peace and security through the ASEAN framework and integrate ASEAN into the international order, the Hanns Seidel Foundation, together with the Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance, has organized a six days short course on mediation titled “Mediation Academy (I) Exploring the Basics: Concepts, Methods, and Techniques”.

This course, which took place at the Thammasat Law School, aimed to promote the practice of mediation which has emerged as a beacon of efficient and collaborative conflict resolution in contrast to the complexities of traditional litigation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, particularly arbitration. Hence, due to mediation, cooperation among various stakeholders in society can be achieved. Finally, this is done to prevent and resolve conflicts.

Dr. Axel Neubert - Resident Representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation Thailand and Mr. Henning Glaser - CPG Director, delivered welcoming speeches to mark the start of this event.
