A Young Leader’s Journey
Meaningful Exchanges in Germany

New avenues for cooperation and exchange opened during focused meetings Atty. Mohammad Al-Amin M. Julkipli held in Munich and in Berlin, as part of his visit to Germany organised by the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) from 11 to 18 February 2026. As Assistant Attorney General in the Attorney General’s Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Atty. Julkipli maintains a deep focus on peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

In Munich, Atty. Julkipli held discussions with key stakeholders.  He also sat for an interview with HSF, sharing reflections on his MYLP experience.

His meetings in Berlin addressed shared interests in security and cooperation with representatives from Körber-Stiftung, Christian Democratic Union / Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU), and Berghof Foundation leaders. This visit built on years of collaboration between Atty. Julkipli and the HSF, in past projects and various project activities.

A highlight of his visit to Germany was the 2026 Munich Young Leaders Program (MYLP), where he was amongst 24 participants from different regions in the world.  Held from February 12-15, 2026, the MYLP served as a side event to the Munich Security Conference (MSC), with the MYLP participants also scheduled to join selected MSC sessions.

In Germany, he was joined in the HSF-organised meetings by Mr. Stefan Burkhardt, Head of South-/Southeast Asia Division of the Hanns Seidel Foundation’s Institute for International Cooperation.
