A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Anna-Maria Pawliczek (Coordinator of International Parliamentary Cooperation, German Bundestag), Mr. Stefan Burkhardt (Head of Division for South and Southeast Asia, Hanns Seidel Foundation), and Mr. Nattakrit Vongjarean and Ms. Steejit Taipibunsuk (Deputy Secretaries-General of the Thai House of Representatives) for their opening remarks.

Representing the German Bundestag, Ms. Anna-Maria Pawliczek provided a comprehensive overview of the Directorate of International Relations, followed by Mr. Franco Liccione’s discussion on the crucial role of Parliamentary Friendship Groups. Dr. Birgit Pflug and Ms. Katalin Zádor then introduced the work of the Division of International Parliamentary Assemblies.

The workshop concluded with valuable contributions from representatives of the Thai House of Representatives, followed by an engaging Q&A session that fostered a meaningful exchange of ideas.

This event highlighted the German Bundestag's holistic approach to international relations and demonstrated how specialized directorates, friendship groups, and participation in global parliamentary assemblies foster diplomatic engagement, knowledge sharing, and cross-border cooperation.

This collaboration marks a key step forward in strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations between Thailand and Germany, laying the groundwork for future initiatives aimed at enhancing cooperation and dialogue.
