Enhancing Proactive Capacity in Combating Online Child Sexual Exploitation: A Specialized Training Initiative
The training program was inaugurated by Police Lieutenant Colonel Phayao Thongsen, Deputy Director General of the DSI, who welcomed the collaborative effort to combat child sexual exploitation.
A distinguished speaker for the training was Mr. Yeo Kok Leong, Assistant Superintendent of Criminal Investigations with the Singapore Police Force. Mr. Yeo brings over 20 years of experience in the field and shares his knowledge with the participants.
The attendees gained essential skills in tracking and collecting evidence related to the distribution of child pornography, enabling them to identify perpetrators more swiftly and effectively. This training is pivotal in enhancing the ability to protect children and apprehend offenders. The program also focused on developing advanced digital skills necessary for modern investigations. This includes the exchange of information with international law enforcement agencies, fostering stronger cooperation in tackling online child sexual abuse cases.
