ASEAN Strategic Plan on the Environment

As part of the draft strategic plan on environment (ASPEN), the ASEAN Environmental Education Action Pan (AEEAP) 2014-2018 was developed by the Member States. It is the guiding document for the ASEAN member states (AMS) to encourage public participation and to realise the goal of a clean and green environment in the region.

A number of efforts by various agencies within the ASEAN community have been implemented to promote environmental education and awareness in the region. The ASEAN Youth Eco Champion Awards (AYECA) is one of these initiatives. The delegates of the member states met on 18th of July 2018 in Dalat City to discuss the criteria for the award.
